Book of Psalms (41-50)
Hey friends,
Psalms is one of my favorite books in the bible. My life verse comes from Psalms (46:5). This week, I decided to post 10 chapter just because I have something planned next week and I wanted to go ahead and have next weeks Psalm already finished.
Disclaimer: My Bible is NLT. I will be referencing from NTL for the most part but for better understanding I may switch to a different translation. I will be sharing how I view the word and what God is speaking to me as I read.
Let’s jump into the word!

Do not worry, I am not going drag on this blog post just because it's 10 chapters. I decided to use key verses that stood out to me.
Chapter 41, verse 9:
"Even my best friend, the one I trust completely, the one who I shared my food, has turned against me."
Question: How many friends have you had in your life? Can you count them on all ten fingers? I think not.
The saying, "friends come and go, but the real ones always stay" is so true! God is not going to keep someone in your life if there is no value for them. Unfortunately, some friendships do not last but one thing I learned is you have to be wise with who your friends are.
Chapter 42, verse 8:
"But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me,
and through each night I sing his songs,
praying to God who gives me life."
Each morning feels like a new start. Each day He reminds us how loved we are, we have lungs that are breathing, right?
If you ever feel like God is not there, put your hope in him and praise his name in the meantime. Do not be discouraged, He is with you!
Chapter 44, verse 15:
"We can’t escape the constant humiliation;
shame is written across our faces."
There will be days you will be humiliated, that humiliation is what is needed for us to be true followers of Christ.
Chapter 46, verse 5:
Of course, you knew this verse was coming! My life verse!
"God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed.
From the very break of day, God will protect it."
( NLT TRANSLATION )
"God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day."
( NIV TRANSLATION )
This verse is my small reminder that no matter what my day may look like, God is with me. He is my protector, my healer, and most importantly; my guide as I navigate life.
Chapter 48, verse 5:
"But when they saw it, they were stunned;
they were terrified and ran away."
Question: Have you ever not wanted to believe something because you knew if it was true it would devastate you?
I have been there!
God does not want us to turn away from our problems. We have to face them. Acknowledge and handle it! Conflict should be handled when the problem occurs, if not, the problem will just worsen and turn into a ticking time bomb.
Chapter 49, verse 15:
15But as for me, God will redeem my life.
He will snatch me from the power of the grave.
Wherever you are, He will find you. I can testify that time and time again when I was at my lowest, he found me.
There is power in speaking the name of Jesus.
