Be present

This month has been nothing but hectic. From trying to build my Etsy shop to mentally trying to remain calm. I have to be honest, my relationship with God has been a little shaky and that has definitely taken a toll on me.

Most of my attention has been invested in building who I am and trying to have the future that I want to succeed in. I watched something the other day about how we invest so much of our time in the past and future. In reality, the past is just our memories and our future is our imagination.

Being in the present moment is more valuable. Remember that tomorrow isn’t promised and that life can be easily change in a split of a second. Instead of worrying because you didn’t complete a task at work, remember what you did accomplish today.

It’s easy to forget about our true meaning on this earth is. We are called to live our best life. Christ created the world for it to be enjoyed.

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33

This verse truly spoke to my heart. A perfect reminder that God has already overcome the victory. Who are we to let the slightest of things bother us when the war has already been won.

Prayer is such an important part of living. It builds us and it shows Christ that we rely on His Grace.

Pray not only builds your relationship with God. It always helps you see today in a better light. It’s easy to get angry or frustrated, but remind yourself... the battle has already won.

That is why I always make sure to start my day with prayer. Some days, prayers may sound better than others but as long as you stay consistent in praying. God always promises His Children a peace heart if you have faith in Him.

xx,

D
